Do what they do

The cats stay outside
all night, but are waiting
at the door to come in,
as I am letting the dogs
out in the morning;

the cats know that morning is
feeding time, and they
look forward to me
cracking a can of
the wet cat food that
they love so much,

and dividing it between
the three of them.

Usually, I find them
in three different spots
around the house sleeping,
after their meal.

They sleep all day,
until it is time to
go outside, again,
and do what they do.
